The purpose of the Kingsville Visitors Center is to develop maximum hotel occupancy within the city by attracting and securing overnight visitors who will spend money in Kingsville and surrounding areas and whose successful and enjoyable stay will encourage their return. The Kingsville Visitors Center is funded entirely by Hotel Occupancy Tax and managed by the City of Kingsville Municipal Government.
The Kingsville Visitors Center’s programs shall include visitor’s services, advertising, public relations, publicity and dissemination of literature.
Through our visitor industry, we can build the image of Kingsville as an excellent place to visit, live and learn. Visitors stimulate the Kingsville trade area and diversify the economy which sustains jobs and improves the quality of life for citizens.
Do you enjoy meeting new people?
Do you love Kingsville as much as we do?
Then we are looking for YOU!
The Kingsville Visitors Center and the 1904 Train Depot Museum are looking for volunteers to help welcome guests to our great city and help make their stay both memorable and exciting.
Whether you are a student looking to boost your resume with volunteer experience or a retiree who enjoys meeting new people, we have a number of volunteer opportunities for you.
As a volunteer, you will help greet guests at the Kingsville Visitors Center or the 1904 Train Depot Museum and offer information regarding our city, its history, points of interest and dining and lodging options. From manning the fort to answering questions, to managing the guestbook, you will become an important part of creating a great experience for tourists and visitors alike. There are also many opportunities to volunteer at some of our city’s annual events including the Wings Over South Texas Air Show, the Ranch Hand Festival and more.
All of these events wouldn’t be possible without the help and support of our local volunteers. Thank you!
