On March 8, Chicago’s legendary sketch and improv comedy theater comes to Texas A&M University-Kingsville with “The Best of The Second City.”
This free public performance takes place at 7 p.m. Wednesday, March 8 in Jones Auditorium. Doors are scheduled to open at 6:30 p.m. Seating is on a first-come, first-seated basis.
“The Best of The Second City” performance is part of the university’s Presidential Performing and Visual Arts Series.
This must-see show features the best sketches and songs from The Second City’s 55-year history made famous by superstars like Tina Fey, Stephen Colbert, Steve Carell, Gilda Radner, Bill Murray and more—as well as their trademark improvisation. Come see where it all began during this special one-night engagement.
Fresh, fast and always spectacularly funny, The Second City is celebrating 55 years of producing cutting-edge satirical revues and launching the careers of generation after generation of comedy’s best and brightest.
About the Presidential Performing and Visual Arts Series
The Presidential Performing and Visual Arts Series at Texas A&M University-Kingsville is a year-long program of art, music and theatre performances that bring culture and variety to Kingsville for faculty, staff, students and community audiences. The series strives to provide a new element of learning outside the classroom for students as they are entertained and educated through diverse mediums. Community members are welcome to continue life-long learning by attending these events.
