Ballet Nepantla tells the powerful story of women and their roles during Revolutionary Mexico through extraordinary dance and choreography in VALENTINA.
Founded by South Texas native Andrea Guajardo and Martin Rodriguez from Guadalajara, Ballet Nepantla blends traditional ballet folklorico with ballet and contemporary dance, resulting in an exquisite fusion of these styles. The performance offers an unforgettable journey that delves deeply into stories of wealth and power, hope and despair, struggle and loss and triumph. Making their debut appearance in Kingsville, TAMUK welcomes the New York City – based Ballet Nepantla to the Dr. Stephen H. Tallant Music Building Performance Hall.
